He was in charge of combat, peacekeeping, and intelligence operations. In that position, Doro saw a lot of important things happen. He was hurt in battle, and now he can't do anything. Doro got a lot of awards and citations because he served in the military, including:
-
The Silver Star
-
The Purple Heart
-
Combat Infantryman Badge (CIB)
-
National Defense Service Medal
-
Good Conduct Medal
-
Marksmanship Medals.
Mr. Doro had a lot of success in the military, school, and the workplace. He also served on the Board of Directors for a Veteran Outreach Center. He also worked as a counselor for veterans in crisis as part of a group with PTSD and served as:
-
Chairperson, Conference Committee for New York Association of School Psychologists

In 2022, Andrew Doro led Millbrook's efforts to become a sponsor for Homes for Our Troops, an organization that helps veterans with serious injuries from their tours of duty build homes and improve their lives. Homes for Our Troops wants to give some veterans back some of the freedom and independence they lost because of their service.
When Doro isn't working or doing things for charity or the community, he likes to spend time with his wife, family, and friends, play racquetball, squash, tennis, golf, travel, and try new foods and wines from around the world. Andrew P. Doro lives in Millbrook, New York, but spends a lot of time in Manhasset, New York, where he lived for more than ten years and ran one of the Company's offices. "It was an honor to serve my country in uniform, and it is a blessing and a privilege to continue to serve my fellow citizens, government agencies, and commercial clients."
